Campbell Christian Schools is governed by a board of directors. Our school board’s primary responsibility is to present policy and support to the operations duties of the head administrator. The school board consists of a consortium of business leaders, parents of past and current students of Campbell Christian Schools, and civil servants. Board members are not paid for their service and give of their talents because of their love of the school and interest in Christian and public ministry. The school board meets monthly, usually the third Sunday of the month. Parents may present policy issues or major complaints to the school board if they arise. Technology
Administration and Technology: In order to enhance parent, teacher, and administration communication, CCS has implemented the RenWeb web based database and information system. This system allows parents to view homework, lesson plans, school pictures, attendance, grades, and school and class announcements. Additionally, parents can change, electronically, database information such as emergency contacts, pick up lists, and parent demographic information. This system, along with voicemail, email, and email groups, allows us to better communicate the many activities necessary for school administration. Not only are our parents more informed and involved, but they are able to access information and communicate more effectively with the administration and teaching staff.
Students and Technology: The students at Campbell Christian Schools are immersed in technology instruction and use. All academic, enrichment, and all purpose rooms in the elementary building include LCD projectors, speakers, and multimedia equipment. Teachers are assigned a tablet PC computer. These computers provide an electronic writing surface and multimedia tool to project written work, websites, slideshow presentations, and audio/visual media from the internet on our LCD projectors in the classrooms. Instructors may check out notebook computers for activities or for Accelerated Reader testing, our current, data driven, reading comprehension program. Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students have computer class once a week. These classes meet in our notebook computer lab (23 notebook computers), which provide the students the opportunity to work on his or her own computer during the class. Skills such as typing, word processing, slideshow presentation, and computer program use are taught during these times. Additionally, students are provided the opportunity to use computers during extended care and summer program. All internet connections for students are filtered for objectionable content.
