Student Learning Outcomes

Campbell Christian School exists to assist in the development of each individual child spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically. It is the school’s goal for students to exhibit development and growth in the following areas:

1. Christ-Centered Spirituality: CCS students will exhibit a desire to know and understand Jesus Christ—His life, lessons, ministry, and love for us—through biblical life application, daily worship and prayer, and the outward display of love and kindness towards their families, peers, and other members of their community.
2. Intellect: CCS students will be lifelong learners who can understand and apply the academic disciplines learned in school to their daily lives and demonstrate the ability to self-direct, manage, and work both independently and collaboratively.
3. Communication: CCS students will develop the self-confidence, ability, insight, and organization to effectively communicate in written form, spoken word, and with technology.
4. Character: CCS students will develop a spirit of cooperation, friendship, respect, and love for friends, leaders, family, community, church, and country.
5. Fitness: CCS students will learn how to care for and respect their bodies and create positive and healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Campbell Christian Schools exists to develop a firm foundation in children spiritually, intellectually, socially, and physically, utilizing biblical truths and a desire for knowledge to prepare the youth of today for service and leadership in the future.

Campbell Christian Schools focuses on the development of Christian students, building a foundation of Christ’s love, His purpose, His lessons, and His message and preparing them for a life of service to their family, their church, their community, and their country. While creating a caring community with parents, students, and staff, Campbell Christian School seeks to prepare students to think critically and become active, positive role models in their communities and for future generations: we will seek expansion and program changes to meet these demands.

Campbell Christian Schools holds the following core values, which serve as guidelines as the school continues to offer excellent educational programs while maintaining a focus on community, Christ’s love, and developmental growth in children.

CCS values:

• The cooperation between school administration, teachers, and parents to facilitate the educational and developmental process in children through the promotion of Christ’s lessons and love, family involvement, an mutual encouragement.
• The balance between meeting the needs of individual students and the needs of the class as a whole, maintaining a healthy equilibrium between helping students who are having academic and social difficulties and serving the entire class.
• Educating children of all abilities where enrollment in the school benefits the individual student and does not hinder his/her development.
• Varied core curriculum subjects and enrichment classes, excellent programs, and Christ-centered guidance.
• A financially stable institution. When establishing tuition and fees, we weigh the mission and values of the school, the health of its programs, the financial and time sacrifices of parents, and the subsistence needs of teachers and staff.
• A qualified and caring staff with an evident faith in Jesus Christ who belongs to and supports a local church.
• Appropriate integration of biblical values and truths in all subject areas and in interactions between staff and students.
• A structured, disciplined environment where children are encouraged with love and appropriate discipline to show the “fruit of the spirit” to their classmates, teachers, parents, and fellow community members.
• Being a light of hope through programs that help the students develop a sense of responsibility for social issues, including the environment and sharing with those who are less fortunate.
• The mutual support of the Campbell Church of Christ and Campbell Christian School to the many outreach ministries and functions available to students and their families.

Campbell Christian Schools holds dual accreditation through two agencies, one Christian organization and one secular organization.

Association of Christian Schools International: Campbell Christian Schools is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International, a Christ-based organization. All of our teachers and administrators are required to hold a credential for the Association of Christian Schools International. This organization provides the usual standards for accreditation with some added requirements for faith-based schools, such as Christian courses for teachers, Philosophy of Christian Education training, and continuing education. Our school sought this accreditation self-improvement process to meet or exceed the high Christ-based expectations of our parents and community. Click for the website www.acsi.org.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges: Campbell Christian Schools also holds accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, a secular accrediting body. Most western public primary, secondary, and post-graduate schools are accredited through this body. This accreditation was sought to meet or exceed the same standards as public schools in the state of California. www.wascweb.org

Campbell Christian Schools is a ministry of the Campbell Church of Christ.
