The faculty is the cornerstone of CCS. All teachers are fully qualified Christian professionals who see their work as a ministry. They are committed to helping each child succeed. We encourage our teachers to avail themselves of every possible continuing education opportunity to make their classrooms creative and exciting places for children. Equally important is the emphasis on caring. Caring pervades every aspect of school life.
Principal - Dr. Shawn Stuart is Principal of the school and began his career with CCS in 1999. Dr. Stuart embarked upon his teaching career at Valley Christian Schools before becoming a part of the CCS team. His enthusiastic and dynamic personality challenges his students
and staff to strive higher for spiritual and academic excellence. Dr. Stuart attended UCLA for his Bachelors and Masters degrees where he played football for the Bruins. During his time there, he was a two-time Academic All American and earned an NCAA post-graduate scholarship. Dr. Stuart holds a B.A. degree from UCLA in Sociology and two minors: one in Education the other in
Business Administration. In addition, he holds a Masters degree in Education from UCLA and a Doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco.
Vice Principal - Mrs. Melissa Sisson has been at CCS since 1984. She worked several years for us as a long-term substitute and first grade teacher. Her three children have all been CCS students. She attended Abilene Christian University and graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a minor in Psychology.
Preschool & Infant/Toddler Program Director - Mrs.
Kathy Harmon has been a parent and a teacher here at CCS.
She serves now as the Director of our program. She loves children and their care
is her priority.
School Secretary - Mrs. Ali Davis has been with CCS since 1996. She has two daughters, one in college and the other in junior high. Mrs. Davis' congenial nature and love for children create a caring office atmosphere at the school. She speaks fluent Spanish.
School Secretary - Mrs.
Joanne Beasley has been a part of the CCS community
for eight years. She's been involved as a parent volunteer and librarian. Currently
she works in the school office providing administrative support as well as taking
care of students in need of first aid and hugs. In her words, "She
loves to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the students and families
at CCS."
Business Officer - Mr. Jeff Haworth, MBA - assumed the role of Business Office Director in March 2003. Before beginning at CCS, he worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley. He holds a B.A. in Finance from Oklahoma Christian University and an MBA from Pepperdine. His responsibilities include
tuition billing, school finance and accounting, and human resources. His warm and helpful nature makes him a wonderful addition to our school.
