Overview

Campbell Christian Schools has operated an early childhood education program since 1967. This rich history enables us a unique perspective into the lives of young children. Our goals are to provide a bright and nurturing Christian environment for your children; to enrich their development by providing a healthy balance of education, enrichments, play, recreation, social instruction and opportunities, and spiritual growth; and to provide families an opportunity to engage in and support an educational community committed to childhood development. We feel that these goals have resulted in the necessary skills to continue onto our elementary programs, which averages in the top 20% nationally on our standardized achievement tests.

Programs

Currently, Campbell Christian Preschool offers a program for infants (ages 4 weeks to 1 year old), toddlers (1 to 2 years old), transition (students after age 2 currently potty training), early preschool (ages 2 to 3), middle preschool (3 to 4 years old), and pre-kindergarten (4 to 5 years old). Our infant/toddler classes are licensed for 24 children daily and our other preschool programs are licensed for 93 students daily. Our total enrollment averages around 145 students in our infant/toddler/preschool classes combined (including part-time students). Part-time programs are also available for ages 4-5, based on availability and demand. Our ratio for the infant and toddlers in our care is 1 teacher to every 4 students. Our ratio for students, potty trained, and ages 2 and up are 1 teacher to every 12 students. Please see the Early Childhood Admissions section for program fees and days.

Parent Participation

Parents are encouraged to join the PTF program associated with the preschool and elementary. Each meeting has a preschool component directed toward the preschool parents. It is also an opportunity to meet the preschool director and several of her staff at an informal time during the month. Parents are encouraged to also take this time to meet and fellowship with other parents with children in the school. This time is set aside for building community among the staff and parents. Childcare is offer for a nominal fee of $2.00 per child ages 3 years old and up. This fee includes a pizza dinner, drink and snack. Parents are have a fellowship/dinner time from 6:00-6:30 and the meeting time is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The meeting and dinner are free to the adults. Meetings are generally the 3rd Tuesday of the month hosted in the Oak Room with childcare in the Fellowship Hall/Extended Care Room.

Concerts and Chapel Performances

Preschool students have two or three concerts a year. The pre-kindergarten has a Thanksgiving feast performance during the day the Friday before Thanksgiving. The entire preschool has a Christmas concert on a Tuesday evening in December and a Spring Concert at Open House. All of the concerts are held in the main auditorium. Our class sizes are large enough that we have two performances for each evening. This allows for ample seating grandparents, aunts, and uncles and parent video areas for the performances. Chapel performances are given by each class. All the classes in preschool have a chance to give special lessons to their friends and family.
