Academics/Curriculum

We meticulously screen the curriculum to ensure the concepts and lessons do not undermine our faith as Christians.  Additionally, the curriculum provides a wide variety of activities, lessons, and resources to challenge each child.  The last requirement for our curriculum is that it meets or exceeds California State Academic Standards.  The teachers serve as a resource and gateway for choosing curriculum.  Together with the administrators, the teachers will analyze the curriculum available and provide recommendations.  These recommendations serve as the foundation for purchasing curriculum.  Most curriculum subjects are on a 6 year curriculum review cycle and are replaced after that time period when appropriate or when new standards are published. 

We at Campbell Christian Schools focus on nurturing your child in a variety of ways. Although we care just as much about spiritual, social, emotional, and health development of your child as we do academics, we have not forgotten that learning is both a crucial and necessary goal of schools. We are a school that values challenging academics; however, we do not just accept academically gifted children. Our goal is to meet the child where they are at academically, challenge them, and see them improve at any level. We take the Stanford Achievement Tests annually in April of each year for grades 1-5. Our philosophy on academics has served our students well. As an average, CCS students score in the top 15% to 20% on the Stanford Achievement tests each year.
