Campbell Christian School

Junior High School

The Campbell Christian Junior High School continues the tradition established by our Elementary School of providing a well-rounded, whole-child approach to development. These are incredibly formative years and Campbell Christian provides the spiritual foundation, social guidance and emotional support our students need. Of course, the same high academic standards apply.

Classes are being offered on the following schedule:

  • 6th grade starting fall of 2012
  • 7th grade starting fall of 2013
  • 8th grade starting fall of 2014

The Junior High will ultimately support 90 students and be housed in a new building currently under construction. The new facilities will provide the necessary classroom space, a new gymnasium, as well as upgraded offices for various academic departments.

Curriculum

The Jr. High curriculum is designed to to be challenging, innovative, and integrated across all subjects. Elements from both California State Academic Standards as well as Common Core State Standards are utilized as appropriate. The Common Core State Standards build on the excellent foundation of the California standards and are informed by the highest, most effective models from states across the country and countries around the world.

Our curriculum also places an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM.) We support this goal by continually assessing our IT infrastructure, compute resources and personnel training. Providing each Jr. High student with an iPad is one aspect of our STEM implementation.
