Summer Programs

Fun in the Sun at CCS

Elementary

The elementary school operates a ten-week summer program. The program is designed for an educational, fun experience for children in grades K-5th. We provide an academic component combined with a variety of recreational activities which include swimming, outdoor activities, field trips on most Mondays, and service projects. It is the goal of the summer program to integrate an academic review component to assist in maintaining current grade equivalency during the summer months in a fun learning environment that is Christ-centered.

The Summer Program includes field trips to both fun and educational destinations. Fieldtrips in the past have included: Aqua Adventure Water Park in Fremont, Waterworld California in Concord, Gilroy Gardens in Gilroy, Great America in Santa Clara, & Raging Waters in San Jose, the Tech Museum in San Jose, and the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.

Academic classes include Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Computer Lab. There are also classes in Sports Instruction and Art.

Please contact the school office at (408) 370-4900 to learn more about this program.

Preschool

The Preschool Summer Program emphasizes fun. Each week of summer is a new theme. Theme weeks in the past have included camping, under the sea, space/planets, western, etc. Theme weeks are enhanced by special guests. Special guests in the past have been a puppeteer, pony pictures, The Bird Lady, and Mad Science. Summer is a great time to enhance experiences with water and sand play, extending hands-on, active learning opportunities. If you child will be new to the school in the fall, summer is a good time for them to make new friends.
