In addition to our core math, science, history, and language arts classes, Campbell Christian School provides additional enrichment classes for our Junior High School students.
Creative Writing: All junior high students take an additional creative writing class in conjunction with their daily language arts class. Students are given opportunities to use school-assigned iPads and computers to further develop their skills in different writing genres, including narrative and persuasive essays, research, and poetry.
Digital Citizenship: 6th grade students are enrolled in a weekly digital citizenship class to teach them responsibility in managing their digital life. This class includes instruction on several media topics such as cyber safety, search engine utilization, research, email scams, and computer viruses.
Physical Education & Health: All junior high students participate in a physical education class to further expand their knowledge and skills in a variety of sports. As part of this class, students learn about their bodies and how to create healthy habits.
Our junior high teachers work in coordination with the worship leader and youth minister of Campbell Church of Christ to provide a bi-weekly chapel program for students in junior high. In addition youth minister from around the Bay Area are invited as guest speakers to deliver applicable lessons to our junior highers based on our yearly school-wide chapel theme. This is a great time for our students to grow closer to God and one another through worship music, prayer, and relatable lessons from God's word.
